Controlling hunger during your diet to attain weight loss, this is one challenge that all people face when they start dieting. I have faced hunger problems, and it is unbearable. When I started dieting, I was always feeling hungry.

This made me eat unnecessarily than required throughout the day. However, I discovered that this is unhealthy, and this will lead to additional problems.

By eating the meals in the optimum quantity and learning to snack on healthy items, you can control your hunger and reduce your weight at the same time.

A balanced diet intake is vital help in controlling hunger. We are prone to avoid vegetables, which is very wrong, as it is rich in fiber. Greens are the best vegetables, and they do not play any role in weight gain. Too much of carbohydrates have to be avoided. There should be more of whole grain consumption which causes less calorie consumption.

After speaking with my dietitian, I realized that missing breakfast is the biggest mistake I was doing. As breakfast is the most important meal of the day, as the body goes without food for a long time while sleeping.

A very nutritious breakfast, and also one that is large in quantity, defiantly helps to control hunger. This will also help maintain sugar levels, as a drop in the level causes hunger.

I also got a tip from my dietitian that while eating a meal; it must be eaten slowly and chewed more. Eating too fast may result in feeling that the body has not consumed enough food, and this will makes you want to eat more.

Also the quantity of water consumed every day will also play an important role in controlling hunger. One must drink at least 7 to 8 glasses of water each day.

I have seen many counterparts trying like myself to control hunger. The first step towards controlling hunger is to balance the meals intake in the day.

Instead of eating three big meals in a day, one can spread out in smaller meals over the day. This will also help conserve energy in the body, and there will be no need to feel hungry any time of the day.
