In the initial couple of weeks of following Atkins diet is the “induction” phase. During these two weeks days, one has to strictly follow exact diet plan as per the instructions. By doing this we ensure that body goes into lipolysis process, this is a state where metabolism is increased.
In the second phase, Atkins diet allows you to be not restrictive with your diet, this happens due to increase of vegetables and some amount of carbohydrates in your diet.
Atkins diet allows all kinds of the meat, cheese, eggs, butter and oil. Just the carbohydrates are restricted for the first two weeks of Atkins diet and after that with each week a five-gram incremental gain is allowed and the dieter gets to know their “critical carbohydrate level” for maintaining their weight for long term.
Restriction on carbohydrates means giving up on food like bakery products, potatoes, pasta and more. Extremely sweet fruits and dairy products are also extremely limited.
Atkins diet also encourages you to go on a regular exercise. People find Atkins diet to be very useful as it brings about weight loss results if followed appropriately.
