Type 2 Diabetes

In current times diabetes is the most common disease. It has spread all over the world and this has to do with our wrong lifestyle and eating habits.

There are many types of diabetes and stages of this disease. The most dangerous type of diabetes is known as Type 2 diabetes.

If a person gets Type-2 diabetes, it remains with him for all his life. There is no cure to it, it can be just managed and living with diabetes is very difficult. One has to follow diabetic diet and medication all through.

Increase in the blood level sugar causes diabetes. Our pancreas secretes a special type of hormone called as insulin which controls blood sugar levels, but due to our bad eating habits and lifestyle it stops functioning.

Due to genetic or lifestyle reasons our body stops responding to insulin which increases the blood sugar level that causes diabetes. People who have diabetes either have very slow production of insulin or no production.

Due to less insulin in body a state arises which is known as hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). If the insulin is generated in excess due to pancreas malfunction it causes hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)

People who are overweight develop a higher risk of health problems such as diabetes, although it is also found in thin and elderly people.

Type 2 diabetes is also a hereditary disease and passes from one generation to another. Type 2 diabetes starts developing gradually and progresses very slowly.

People show different symptoms which include increase in thirst and frequent urination. Also they are found to have increase appetite and get tired quickly.

As these symptoms are not easy to detect in early stage, things usually get worse. If you find such symptoms, then one must see a doctor.

The medication in diabetes is to adjust level of glucose in blood. This prevents the future complications.

One natural way of reducing the glucose level is by doing regular exercises and taking balanced diet. Also by taking healthy balanced food helps. One must try to control the body weight. Regular exercise maintains the proper level of sugar in blood and also helps in burning excess calories and fats in the body.

Regular testing of blood should be there to determine which combinations of diet, exercises and medicines are most effective.
