Meat / Protein Alternatives for Vegetarian

Milk Alternatives
One could drink fortified soymilk, rice milk or almond milk instead of the natural cow’s milk.

Replacing Butter
To Saute your food you could make use  of olive oil, boiling water, vegetable broth, wine, fat-free cooking spray. Inf you are baking then canola oil can be used too.

Instead Cheese
In place of cheese you can use soya cheese or  yeast flakes that are available in wellness and food stores.

Replacing Eggs
For baking you can try egg alternatives there are some commercial egg replacers, these are mainly dry products made up of potato starch. Or you can use the following to replace one egg: 1/4 cup whipped tofu or 1 tablespoon milled flaxseeds mixed with 3 tablespoons of water.
