Detox Diet, 7 Day Detox plan

The mentioned elements are not really toxic but it’s just that they are present in harmful quantity. The idea of a good detox diet is to eat pure and natural foods that will aid the function of the lymph, kidneys, and liver. All foods that hinder the regime should be avoided. A plan of one week to detoxify your body would consist of regular exercise, healthy foods with partial and complete fast. In the times of fast only fruits and vegetable juices should be taken to cleanse the whole body system.
Steps on Detoxifying and cleansing the body for 0ne week:
1. Avoid alcohol completely.
2. Avoid tea, coffee, nicotine and soft drinks as they also contain caffeine which is equivalent to alcohol.
3. Have wholesome 5 mini meals a day. (Breakfast/snack/lunch/snack/dinner)
4. On rising every day have one glass of vegetable juice (calabash+ coriander leaves + bitter gourd). Or one glass of wheat grass juice or a glass juice of celery, lettuce and cabbage is not bad either
5. Exercise daily twice in the morning for 1 hour (cardio: jogging/running/swimming/tennis etc.) and evening walks for half an hour followed by 20/30 minutes of pranayam to recirculate and reset the rhythm of respiratory system.
6. A mini snack two hours before the exercise is recommended. 1 glass of soya milk + 1 whole apple.
7. Post exercise a shot of lime juice or orange juice + high protein breakfast: 2 beans on toast (whole grain bread) or 1 bowl of upma with vegetables + 1 fruit
8. Snacks in between the meals should ideally consist of one whole fruit or a platter of fruits or non-salted vegetable or fruit juices.
9. A shot of aloe-vera juice( 30 ml) before meals. Begin both meals (lunch and dinner) always with a bowl of soup or salad, plenty of vegetables with moderate amount of complex carbohydrates and proteins.
10. Dinner should be consumed three hours before bedtime and should be very light to digest.
11. Bedtime: 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds soaked in water (3-4 hrs)
12. Every day should take fresh fruits either make homemade fruit juices or smoothies from fresh fruit, or drink ready-made juices .
Just try these instruction in your daily diet and you will have improved energy, clearer skin, regular bowel movements, improved digestion, and increased concentration and clarity. Good Luck.
