Atkins Diet

By Cindy • Category: Weight Loss Programs

This Weight Loss program focuses on the protein intake of the individuals. This exactly increases the ratio between the high protein diet and carbohydrate intake one has normally.

This diet also encourages you to eat vegetables and meat, but one has to quit eating bread and pasta (which are high in carbohydrate content). This diet plan was created by late Dr Robert Atkins, this weight loss diet consist of high-protein, low-carbohydrate content.

Dr Atkins’ diet will make you believe that when you lessen out you carbs intake, your body burns a lot of stored fat to provide you body with adequate energy. When an individual burns more calories with stored fat compared with daily carbohydrate, you’ll lose weight more quickly. This weight loss diet also helps in keeping normal blood sugar levels and prevents hunger bursts thus it also kills overeating.

This diet program also allocates intake of essential fat, based on the individual’s dietary recommendations. Only one drawback in this weight loss diet is that this plan doesn’t include sufficient fiber and calcium. The intake of grains and fruits is also little in this weight loss diet.

This diet has seemed to have worked for some and haven’t for many. But this is safe weight loss program to begin with. A sample Atkins diet is as under
