Green tea extract results in a significant increase in energy burn of a system and it is proven to be capable in increasing metabolism.

Some researchers have also concluded that that in a 24-hour period, green tea extract increases the body metabolic rate by 4%. Green tea contains high concentrations of catechin polyphenols. This and many more constituents work in our system and they can intensify levels of fat oxidation and thermogenesis thus, the calories burn rate increases.

Green tea inhibits fat absorption in our body and also helps in glucose regulation. Some experts believe that the ‘catechins’ in green tea inhibits the movement of glucose into the existing body fat cells.

Green tea acts as a glucose regulator. It helps to slow the rise in blood sugar after a meal intake.
